What do you love about fashion?
The people, the color, the patterns, the hidden details, the constant recycling and adapting…everything basically!
How would you describe your personal style in three words?
Colorful, printed and youthful.
What is your dream job?
A creative job with the possibility for travel and a collaborative work environment! That’s not very specific, but those are the things I’d choose over anything.
What are you inspired by right now?
SO MUCH. i’ve been thinking a lot about New Order, Louise Bourgeois, Laurie Anderson, and a photography exhibit I saw at the Metropolitan Museum of Art when I was home. And, as always, I love Talk To Her-thinking a lot about those dance costumes at the beginning!
What is your favorite place to buy fabric?
It sounds so pretentious to say “India”-but it’s true! The Pochampally Handloom Park has the most beautiful ikats I’ve ever seen-I could have lived there!
Favorite class at Cornell thus far?
I ADORE my English class “Utopia” right now.
Favorite Spring 2011 Collection?
I liked Wunderkind for women and Dries Van Noten for men.
Favorite off campus restaurant?
Taste of Thai
